French Press brewing is considered by many to be the very best way to brew and enjoy the perfect cup of coffee. I heartily agree with this sentiment! While I enjoy an array of brewing methods, I find that French Press brewing offers a unique blend of flavor, texture and aftertaste which is very difficult to reproduce through any other brewing method.
However, like most, I found that the clean up was so time consuming that I normally reserved drinking coffee brewed in this manner for occasional weeknight coffee (usually a Friday evening) or weekends when my schedule was not so rushed. I did this for years. Slowly I began to imagine a French Press Brewer that might make clean up easier and faster, allowing me to enjoy French Press brewed coffee each morning, or whenever I might choose.
After many months of working through various concepts and prototypes, we at least arrived at our final product, the Simplicité “Pressless” French Press. It has been an immediate hit among all of those who’ve tried it. We’re thrilled to make it available to coffee enthusiasts everywhere now. I’m eager to hear about the various techniques that are sure to follow in the coming months and years as people begin experimenting with their Simplicité.
